Certified Tutor

I am passionate about inspiring students to be life-long learners and critical thinkers, as well as to master the basics in academics, and cultivate an enthusiasm for reading. As a tutor, I will provide support and challenges to students to encourage learning and growth.

My experience working with children includes six years as an elementary school classroom teacher, teaching grades K-8 in multiple subjects. The majority of my teaching experience is with grades 1-3. Additionally, I have participated in many years of volunteer work with church youth groups and summer camps.

After earning my Bachelor's degree, I obtained my initial teaching license at Corban College (now University) and have continued my education by completing a variety of classes at the graduate level.

I am able to tutor in any elementary subject in the K-3 levels. Also, I can tutor in reading, writing, history, and music for grades 4 and 5. All subjects are interesting to me but I really enjoy reading, spelling, and phonics.

As a mother of two teenagers I enjoy spending time with my family outdoors. I also love singing, music, horses, gardening, cooking and baking.
