I believe every student has the ability to succeed when given the right support, encouragement, and tools to grow, which is why I am passionate about helping students overcome academic challenges and build confidence in their abilities. My background includes years of working with students of all ages, providing individualized instruction in subjects such as English, reading comprehension, writing, science, and social studies. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education, as well as a Master's in Special Education, and am currently working toward my Ed. D. in Educational Leadership, which has strengthened my understanding of how to motivate and empower learners. My favorite subject to tutor is science because it allows students to utilize their reading skills, get curious, strengthen their critical thinking, and learn about this beautiful world we live in. I utilize aa patient, student-centered approach to tutoring, focusing on building a positive and supportive environment where students feel safe to ask questions, take risks, and learn from mistakes. I believe that learning should be engaging, practical, and adapted to the individual needs of each student, which is why I work to understand how each learner processes information and adjust my methods accordingly.
Outside of academics, I enjoy time spent with family, tending to my house plants, and playing with my animals. During sessions, I often find ways to bring real-world connections and curiosity to help students see the relevance of their education and feel inspired to reach their goals.
