I am a rising senior at Virginia Commonwealth University and am currently pursing a Bachelor of Science in Bioinformatics with a concentration in biological and genomic sciences. I am also pursing minors in Biology, Chemistry, and Statistics. I have previous experience working as a supplemental instructor in the areas of Biology and Genetics and have extensive training in active learning techniques. My tutoring style employs visual aids and engaging activities to help my students grasp concepts quicker and have long-term recall. One of my primary research interests is genetics, so it is one of my favorite topics to tutor. I'm passionate about being a tutor because I have been on the receiving end of these services and I know how difficult it can be to study effectively while also being time efficient. My main goal is to reduce my students' academic stress and boost their confidence in taking exams.
