I am currently a seventh-grade ELA teacher in Decatur County, and an 18-year veteran in public education. I am a lifelong learner! I taught preschool for over 16 years. I taught phonics and the fundamentals of beginning reading. I taught second grade for nine years and seventh grade for seven years. I understand the science of reading and what it takes to help a struggling as well as a student who needs enrichment. I am a reading endorsed teacher in the state of Georgia. I am passionate about teaching reading because reading is something that is vital to live day to day life. I am ready to help you and your student be successful in learning.
