Certified Tutor

As a graduate student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a major component of my job is teaching undergraduate students. This has uncovered a passion for teaching. I am especially interested in tutoring and mentoring individuals who are interested in:
-Biology (specifically Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology and Genetics)
-Introductory coding in RStudio (especially in relation to data analysis and management),
-Demystifying college admissions (undergraduate and graduate).
I have a BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and a focus in pre-medicine from Truman State University. I am currently working towards my PhD in Biology with a specialization in Genetics, Cellular and Molecular Biology.
As a tutor I incorporate an open learning environment and work to build rapport with my students to ensure that they feel comfortable learning outside of their comfort zone.
