I am a graduate of Delgado Community College with an Associate of Science degree in Aircraft Maintenance Technology. After moving to Florida, I went back to school and graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science in English Education 6-12. After graduating, I continued working for the United States Department of Agriculture, clearing international passengers. I have always believed that education is a key to success and if I could graduate then anybody else could too. I relocated to New Orleans and started substitute teaching until I was hired by the New Orleans School District. I helped set up a computer lab for a blended learning Pre GED program. Dr. Pinney then wrote a grant to open a high school for overaged and under credited students. There I again set up and worked a computer based blended learning lab. I used a software program that taught all subjects. I worked with and taught some challenging students. I love to read, and that's why I studied English. I now enjoy playing disc golf.
