I am a graduate of Grand Canyon University. I received my Bachelor in science with a focus in early education. I also recieved my Masters degree from Grand Canyon University, my degree is teaching English as a second language. Since graduation, I have taught reading in both 2nd and 3rd grade. For the past 9 years I have been teaching 3rd grade.
During my lessons we read different types of geners. This means we read different types of reading materials. For example: biographies, informational text, fiction and poetry. I also do afterschool tutoring in the same school I teach.
I help students who struggle in reading comprehenstion, fluency. We do a few reading excercises that help with fluency.
I also help students prepare for Standardized Tests, here in Texas it is called the STAAR test.

My interests and hobbies are, I enjoy listening to Christian music, read my bible and share bible verses. Lately I have found intrest in colring adult coloring books. It is so relaxing as well. I read regular chapter books, I am always looking for a good book to read. I enjoy going for walks either early in the morning or later in the evening. I have three dogs so they keep me busy. My dog Pepper likes to play fetch.
