I'm a Penn Stater with a bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering currently working on a master's in Applied Statistics. Finding a way to distill and explain complicated topics is something I've always enjoyed, regardless of the domain. I'm a huge believer in the power of routines when it comes to long-term learning challenges, and as a tutor it is my mission to set students up with the tools they need to have sustainable success beyond our tutoring sessions. Of particular interest to me is standardized test prep, namely the SAT. I find learning the ins and outs of the test both challenging and rewarding, especially the EBRW sections.
Additionally, I've been studying German on my own for the past few years as I was originally considering attending grad school in Germany. Though I've decided to study in the US, learning the language has nevertheless become a hobby of mine, and I work daily on improving my proficiency in the language, having read thousands of pages worth of books, having completed entire textbooks on German grammar, and having procrastinated by spending far too many hours online chatting with natives and other learners. As someone who started completely from scratch, never having learned to speak a foreign language, I know how overwhelming attempting to do so can feel, but as evidenced by my own progress with the language, I assure you making significant progress is indeed possible.
