Certified Tutor

I am passionate about helping students because I feel it's important to help the next generation and to share the knowledge I have acquired. I entered academia in 2017 and have taught undergraduate courses in audiology, created new courses as well as supervised doctoral students both in private practice and in an academic setting. I received my education through the CUNY system and then my master's degree at Hofstra University. I obtained my doctorate through A.T. Still university in 2016. I have tutored for the Audiology Praxis exam. This is my favorite subject to tutor since it comprises the whole of my experience and education as a licensed audiologist. My teaching philosophy stems from my philosophy life in general. I believe we are all lifelong learners and should continuously strive to learn, evolve and grow. My tutoring style is student centered focusing on the students' strengths and weaknesses while adapting to their individual learning style. Some of my interests outside academia involve volunteering in my community and gardening. I also enjoy working with the developmentally disabled.
