I graduated from Georgetown University in 2018 with a B.S. in Human Science and proceeded to Tufts University School of Medicine for my M.S. in Biomedical Sciences.
During my time in college and my master's program I worked part-time as a substitute teacher focusing on STEM, math, and small-group settings. I also worked as a long-term substitute covering high school algebra and pre-algebra. I also was a small group tutor for biochemistry at TUSM during my master's program.
I continued on to University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School where I am currently a fourth year student. I will be doing my residency in Family Medicine starting July 2024. I scored in the 99th percentile on the MCAT including a perfect score in the biology section and was certified to tutor MCAT Biology by a well-known private MCAT tutoring company (stopped due to COVID). I am a tutor for my medical school and focus on genetics and small group NBME Step 1 tutoring. I scored in the mid-250s Step 2 and consistently got Honors or High Honors on NBME shelf examinations at my school.
I am most motivated in tutoring science and math subjects especially those related to medical school admissions and NBME examinations. However, I have years of prior experience teaching and tutoring science and math at the middle school and high school level, and am comfortable with that content as well. I have worked with children and teens extensively as a lifeguard, swim instructor, and certified CPR/AED/Lifeguarding Instructor during high school and college.
Education is one of my passions in addition to medicine, and I intend to end up in medical education at some point in my career.
