Hi! I am a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi. I received my Master of Education in Special Education with a focus on mild to moderate disabilities. Since graduation, I have worked extensively, coaching and training teachers and school leaders in the implementation of Universal Design for Learning. Before this, I spent 20 years as a classroom teacher and tutor. I have taught all grade levels and all subjects; however, I am certified in Elementary, ELA, and test strategies and techniques. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for standardized tests, learners always seem to have the most fun learning the strategies that enable them to quickly locate the correct responses. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be necessary for an improved quality of life. I believe every child can learn and should have the opportunity to do so to reach their fullest potential. In my spare time, I enjoy writing about my life as well as singing, film and theater, games, reading, and dining out.
