Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Brown University. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health and International and Public Affairs, with a focus on policy and governance. I have extensive experience working with students on college application essays, through an organization called Notable Narratives, and supporting them with Admissions related topics. I have also mentored students in a program based in New York City, through NYU, tutored private clients, and currently work with a local college readiness program called the Southwest Leadership Initiative. I am passionate about supporting students in Essay Editing, College Application Essays, English, and writing at large. I truly enjoy helping students find their voices and feeling confident in their writing skills. I find that talking through ideas and prompting them with questions at each step of the essay writing process motivates my students and helps them reach their goals. When I work with students, I aim to be mindful and create a safe space where students feel comfortable to share their thoughts and ideas; I always try to bring an encouraging attitude to my sessions. In my spare time, I enjoy painting, crafting, and spending time in nature.
