Education has always consumed my world. I knew at a young age that I wanted to be a teacher and pursued my goals even as a youngster "teaching" my dolls each summer with workbooks my teachers provided. After a decade in corporate America as a news assignment editor, I went back to college. I have a BA in English and Communications from Cabrini University and a Master's in Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. I am certified in Leadership and Administration and served as an elementary, middle school, and high principal for years. I also attended Stockton University (NJ) to pursue a Reading Specialist master's before our family moved to the South.
Teaching reading was always one of my passions and I homeschooled both of my daughters and neighbors to make sure they were equipped with strong reading and math literacy skills.
My passion and dedication to continuous learning are unmatched. My specialty is supporting struggling learners, ESL, reluctant readers and writing. My youngest brother is dyslexic and that cemented my commitment to helping all unlock the "keys" to reading success. This foundation unlocks all content areas; I am always excited about the journey and eager to support all learners on their path.
