I believe learning should be fun, engaging, and individualized.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the College of Wooster and Master of Public Health degree from Wright State University.
After my undergraduate studies I served for one year with Americorps as a reading tutor for students in grades K-3rd reading below grade level. I continued to teach and tutor throughout my studies, working as a substitute teacher and private standardized testing tutor. Cumulatively, I have over 7 years of tutoring experience. I enjoy finding new ways of making the subject material engaging and relevant to the lives and goals of my students.
While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am passionate about improving writing and communications skills. I also enjoy tutoring in Biology and any subjects related to plant or animal life from the cellular level to ecological systems.
