I am a graduate of NC State University where I received my BA in Psychology with minors in social work and statistics. Presently, I am a graduate student pursuing my MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Johns Hopkins University. While an undergrad, I worked at my university's Undergraduate Writing Center as a writing consultant and peer mentor. In this role, I helped students in a wide range of disciplines, including English essays, lab reports, resumes, graduate school applications, etc., by teaching them different tools and techniques to use when writing. My tutoring style is to always have the students spearhead any revisions and offer useful guidance to help them form conclusions; I like to maintain that this is my student's work rather than my own. In my spare time, I enjoy doing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and working on the Crisis Text Line.
