Certified Tutor

I graduated from Western Connecticut State University where I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. I was always the first to volunteer to orient new nurses and new staff to the unit. After graduation, I began working in the hospital setting where my desire for continuing education and increasing my knowledge continued to grow. I went back to school and earned my Doctorate of Nursing Practice Degree from Sacred Heart University and passed my Family of Nursing Practice Certification.
I have always had a passion for working with others and helping them learn. I was always the first to volunteer to orient new nurses and staff to the units that I have worked on. This passion has led me to working as a Professor at a University teaching pediatrics for their undergraduate nursing degree. While I tutor on all aspects of nursing, I am most passionate about pediatrics. I understand that not everyone learns the same way, which is why I try to bring different elements of teaching into my education. From using pictures and videos to turning learning into games, I try to make learning as fun and engaging as possible. I believe working as a nurse requires patience, compassion, and a warm heart. I try to bring these elements not only into my practice, but into my tutoring and education as well.
