I have been a high school teacher for over 25 years. During this time I have taught AP Physics 1, NY State Regents Physics, AP Physics B and various Computer Science classes including programming. My undergraduate degree is a BS in Physics, giving me a strong foundation. My graduate degree is an MS in Physics Education, and I am licensed to teach Physics 7-12 and General Science 7-12 in NY State. My teaching style is inquiry based, student-centered instruction. I try to guide my students Socratically as they practice the material with less lecturing and more self-discovery. When students figure things out themselves, rather than just be lectured to, I have found it increases comprehension and retention of the concepts.
