Manasvi: Greece tutor
Certified Tutor
I am a Biology major and Mathematics minor at the The College of New Jersey in a 7-year B.S/M.D. program with Rutgers New Jersey Medical School on the path to becoming a doctor! In addition to my passion for medicine, I am also very passionate about tutoring and teaching, and have been for a while now!
I have 5 years experience tutoring students throughout my time in high school and in college. I have previously worked for 2 years at KUMON where I tutored students in all levels of mathematics up to Calculus as I worked with students K-12. In my time tutoring through KUMON and also serving as a peer tutor in my school, I have worked with a diverse group of students and have used a multitude of different teaching methods, depending on the child in question.
My approach as a tutor involves a very personalized instruction and focused attention on the student's specific needs. Every student is different, from their learning styles to their preferences and needs, and I always ensure that the student is my number one priority. For every student, I will create a personalized lesson plan, incorporating instruction and practice problems into the teaching. I notice that some students are very visual learners while others prefer an auditory explanation and discussion. By highlighting the student's strengths, understanding their weaknesses, and tailoring the instruction to their learning style, the student's learning potential will greatly increase. I will meet the unique needs of each student in order to help them achieve success while also making learning fun!
I provide tutoring in mathematics and high school level biology and chemistry. I am also very experienced with SAT prep tutoring (specifically the SAT math section) and have previously helped numerous students improve their scores.
In my free time I enjoy playing the piano, reading books, and playing volleyball.
