A current MLang (French) student at Lancaster University, I am passionate for all things French: language, grammar, literature, culture! I have spent a year of my degree abroad, in France, studying in Rennes at the University of Rennes 2. Having gained classroom experience through numerous internships, I have experience in delivering individualised 1-1 French teaching at numerous levels, including pre-GCSE, GCSE and A-Level. That said, I am a firm believer in learning languages for the 'real world'. Intricate, abstract knowledge of grammatical structures won't serve you much when you need to ask for directions, or are ordering in a bakery abroad, for example: it is the application that counts! That's why I emphasize the application of language skills, not only to supplement student's learning, but also to help build student's confidence in their abilities. French has been my language of study for 11 years now, and I am keen to share my knowledge to fellow budding linguists!
