Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Western Washington University and University of Oregon, where I received my BS and MS in physics respectively, as well as minors in mathematics, astronomy, and french. During my tenure as a university student, I focused on developing my teaching and communication skills, working with researchers in the field of Physics Education as well as with educators I know in my personal life to build supportive teaching skills. I began my career in being an educator in high school, where I tutored math and sciences. In undergrad, I was a laboratory and professors assistant for more than 11 quarters. In graduate school I continued to teach, but also started to tutor again.

While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I have a strong love of teaching physics at all levels. There is a barrier, I've found, to learning physics that can be broken down with a patient, low-pressure learning environment, as well as ample real life examples. I love to bring the beautiful world of physics into peoples lives and setting them up for success as they continue their studies.
