Certified Tutor

I am very passionate about helping students because I find it to be a very enjoyable and fulfilling experience. Throughout my studies I always felt that helping my fellow students was a very rewarding process and also aided in my own knowledge and enjoyment of subjects such as history as well, I hope to continue this with my tutoring!

I have achieved A-Levels in History, English Literature and English Language from Exeter College, and I recently graduated from the University of Exeter having attained a Bachelors Degree in History and a Masters Degree in Heritage Management.

I tutor a wide range of history, which reflects my passion for many differing fields and areas of history. My favorite historical subjects are however the Tudor and Stuart periods, as well as the First World War. I find these periods particularly interesting as although they have been widely studied, there is still so much more to study about them and valuable knowledge and lessons we can gleam from them.

My teaching philosophy and style are that of understanding and patience. While I will always push for someone to do their absolute best, I know that this will come at different stages for different people and I will always break down subjects into digestible parts and go over content as much as it takes until the person is happy and -most of all- confident. Having struggled with anxiety throughout my own studies, I always endeavour to build confidence and self-belief in the students mind- a vital part of achieving academic success.
