I have just received a First Class undergraduate degree in Economics and Politics at the University of Manchester. I have been passionate about politics and economics since my early teens and studying it at university has allowed for an elevated grasp. Furthermore, I received an A in A-Level Politics, B in A-Level Economics and a B in A-Level English. My experience living in South Africa when I was younger, with the diversity in races, languages and cultures was beautiful to experience and broadened my horizons at such a young age and left an impression on me that has lasted until the present. This experience has also encouraged me to want to help others, so tutoring appeared to be a perfect fit.

I work part-time as a football referee at weekends, refereeing adult matches and ensuring the game is a fair and enjoyable experience for the players. This is an occupation I have held for over 6 years and is one I have consistently enjoyed, even though some players can make refereeing a tough, yet rewarding job. Since I can remember I have been a part of sports teams, the majority being one of my passions, football. I have also played rugby, cricket, and tennis and played in teams both inside and outside of education. I have also tried to involve myself in campaigns and media as best as I can, I was a part of a project during lockdown to provide hot meals to elderly members of my local community, due to the Covid situation. This both provided them with a nice meal, as well as someone to talk to, following the timely medical and safety procedures to the best of my ability, which is fundamental for a group whose loneliness may have been exacerbated due to covid measures. I also have a car and a clean driving licence so am happy to travel around Manchester.
