I have a PhD in language teaching and over 15 years of experience teaching English and Spanish as foreign/second languages, mainly to adults. I have taught Spanish in Simon Fraser University (Canada) and at Cambridge University's Wolfson and Sidney-Sussex colleges. Although born and raised in Cuba, I studied and worked in Barcelona for 8 years, which has provided me with a "neutral", articulate accent, and with solid knowledge of language and cultural differences between Spain and Latin America. I am also a self-employed translator, proofreader and writer.
