I earned my PhD in Linguistics from the oldest and most prestigious Russian university - the Lomonosov Moscow State University. All my life I have been fascinated by learning languages. For me it was a chance to glimpse into another culture. Language reflects national wisdom through phraseology, literature and cinematography. I'm sure that if you know the language and understand the mentality of other nations you will find much to like. So when teaching my students a foreign language I saw it as my mission to bridge the gaps between countries and develop their mutual respect and admiration. I have been pursuing this dream throughout my long career teaching college students, academics and other people who showed their interest in learning languages. First I was teaching English to Russian students. It was general English, business English, academic English for their future careers or just for making friends all over the world. Being a professional translator and interpreter I met many people helping them to advance their comprehension and thus facilitating many successful business ventures. Now I focus on teaching Russian, which is my native language, to students from around the world. Russian is a wonderful language spoken by millions of people. Interestingly, it's also the second most used language on the Internet.
