I graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz, with a Bachelor of Arts in English and American Literature and a minor in French. I began studying French in junior high school and continued through college. When I completed all of the French language and culture classes offered in college, I started studying Italian. I continue to attend a weekly French conversation circle to keep my skills sharp.
I have experience tutoring teens and adults in French and feel the most important aspect of learning of a language is recognizing that the goal is to convey your message successfully in the new language. A conversation is an exchange and we want to make sure the listener receives the message we are trying to convey.
In my free time, I like skiing, playing golf, reading and traveling.

In addition to loving all things related to French language and culture, I love to go skiing in the winter and I'm learning to play golf this summer. I love to read and my favorite novels are The Great Gatsby, To Kill a Mockingbird, and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. I will talk about those books at any time, with anyone, and can help if you're reading or writing an essay on them. I'm also an experienced public speaker and can help you if you're nervous about giving a speech or presentation. I love to bake, especially cookies and cakes, and am a trivia buff.
