Certified Tutor

My main passion is to help people grow and learn. Whether through subject courses or through teaching different perspectives, my full and only intent is to help people blossom through knowledge. I understand that each individual person learns differently and at different paces. I want to create a comfortable environment where students feel safe to make mistakes and to be themselves. These lessons are about the students and helping them learn is my priority and goal.

I studied at Brevard College in NC and earned my Bachelor of Arts in music, and I'm working on my yoga instructor certification. I tutor a vast variety of subjects from all things music, elementary to college math, beginner to college level Spanish, art, yoga, etc. I have worked with students from preschool to college level, with all different abilities. I believe everyone can be taught anything, at their own pace and level.

I love teaching in general, as it brings joy into my life to be able to help people of all ages gain more knowledge. Nothing is better than watching the growth of a student who at one point believed they couldn't overcome a hard problem, to move past it with ease. With each interaction I have with a student I gain something from them as well, a new perspective, a new way to teach, a new fact or just a new experience overall. This is why I love teaching and helping others to grow.
