My name is Gabrielle, but my students call me Mrs. Wallin. I grew up in Mill Valley, CA where the redwood trees meet the coast!
I went to college in Tacoma, WA, where I studied natural science, biology, and communication studies to become an environmental educator. I began nannying and tutoring during my free time. After college, I became an environmental education and stewardship specialist for the Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary. As an environmental educator, I traveled around the Olympic Peninsula teaching 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grades ocean-themed lessons.
My husband and I moved to Pullman, WA, where I became a graduate student at Washington State University (Go Cougs!). I chose the Masters in Teaching (MIT) program in June 2021, taking various courses. I currently work full time as a middle school teacher in Kent, WA.
I continue to tutor because I love working with students and want to help students gain back confidence in school.
