Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, along with a Reading and ESOL endorsement. Since graduation, I have worked with students in grades K-6 as a teacher, tutor and mentor. I have worked with students from various backgrounds and cultures, and volunteered with Teach For America in their diversity programs. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Reading, Language Arts, and Writing. I have experience helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests, as well as helping to cultivate confidence for students who are facing challenges. In my classroom, I am always open to questions and foster lasting relationships. I was taught that students don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care. I am very passionate about working with children and encouraging their ability to learn. I enjoy working with different learning styles, and allowing children the space to feel safe, heard and cared for.
