I am thrilled to invite you to explore my work, skills, and professional experience and learn a bit more about me. I have a background in elementary education. I have taught in the classroom setting since 2010. I get my greatest joy in seeing my students learn and grow. This past year I started an afterschool tutoring program to help close the learning gaps I saw in my students from Covid school closures. I served 30 students after school, with three additional teachers hired to support my afterschool initiative. In addition, I recently became a dyslexia screener for my last school district and completed the required training set forth by the State of Arizona to recognize and teach students with dyslexia. I live on a ranch in northern Arizona and enjoy horseback riding, camping, fishing, and playing with my kids and family. I am constantly working on learning new methods of teaching and taking courses to improve my skill in helping students reach their potential.
