Hi, I'm Abby!
I was born and raised in a small town in Ohio and was born into a family of educators. Both my parents were teachers, as well as my aunt and my grandmother who was an English Professor at Ashland University. I am happy to carry on my family's tradition and have been teaching for almost 8 years. 5 years were within a Public School System where I worked as a 5th-8th grade ELA and Science Teacher, have done Title I reading, been a Literacy coach and had all sorts of fun roles. I decided to teach from home a few years ago and have now been teaching online for over two years. Teaching is a work of heart and art, and i have dedicated my career to reaching and teaching students in and outside of the classroom. Besides teaching in a classroom setting, I have coached soccer for over 10 years, played myself and also train horses, riders and compete competitively myself, which I began when I was just 6 years old. I love animals, learning, reading and bringing them all together.

I am very knowledgeable and adverse in a virtual classroom and both of my fields of study. I welcome you to bring your students to my class where their skills and understanding will strengthen contextually, but also within the real world. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Education and a Reading Certificate (k-12) from the University of Akron, and am also TESOL certified.
Your child will enjoy my energy in my classroom and the joy of success learning English! I believe every student has potential and should have the opportunity to learn in a conducive environment where they are either building, improving or strengthening skills given the material and instruction to do so successfully and happily.
