After thirty years as an educator, most of my adult life has been focused on the science and art of teaching with the heartfelt desire to improve the academic condition of all my students. I am a graduate of both Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) and Florida Atlantic University (Boca Raton, Florida). My earned degrees include, B.A. Communications and Theater, M.A. Educational Media, M.Ed. Education, Ed.S. Educational Leadership, Ed.D. Educational Leadership. My instructional assignments have included, Media Specialist, Intensive Reading Instructor, Director of School to Career, Emerging Technology Instructor, Yearbook Instructor, Language Arts Instructor. My last assignment was Educational Consultant for at-risk students for the city of Ft. Lauderdale. I have had a great deal of experience working with students who were trying to improve their reading and writing scores on the Florida State Assessment Test. My educational philosophy encompasses three areas of importance: Critical Reading, Critical Writing, and Critical Thinking skills. I passionately believe that all three are necessary for educational success, and I gain immense satisfaction helping students achieve competency in these three important areas of education. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing (I have two books in the global marketplace) and playing my guitar as a professional musician.
