I am an IT Professional with a broad background. I am currently in my final year of my B.S. in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance. I hold many certifications covering various areas of the technology industry, including Networking, Security, Project Management, and Penetration Testing. I hold certifications from organizations such as CompTIA, Axelos, and ISC2. My Certifications include: A+, Network+, Security+, Pentest+, Project+, ITIL4 Foundations, as well as others. I am continually acquiring certifications and am experienced with successful study techniques to aid those seeking professional certifications.
I have a passion for programming and have experience with various languages such as C++, Python, HTML & CSS, SQL, and JavaScript. I encourage my own children to learn programming through tools like Scratch and CodeCombat. I believe a basic understanding of programming is essential for people of all fields of study. It helps people of all ages not only have a deeper understanding of the technology they use every day, but also helps in learning logic flow, problem solving, critical thinking, and eficient process skills.
I am an advocate for learning and encourage anyone seeking knowledge no matter their age. Subjects such as Math, Computer Science, and Cyber Security may seem difficult to some, but I believe they are accessible to anyone when presented in the proper ways. I enjoy helping people begin their learning journeys in these areas. No matter the subject, it is a wonderful experience witnessing the moment when a once difficult area clicks for an individual and becomes clear.
