Certified Tutor

I graduated from The University of Arizona with a Bachelors of Science in Health Sciences (B.S.H.S) in Physiology with minors in Biochemistry and Nutritional Sciences. During my time at The U of A, I was a teacher's aid for physiology courses which sparked my interest in being able to teach and help others further their academic career. I enjoy teaching physiology, biology, and biochemistry, as well as helping students create individualized study plans to help them succeed, as this is the foundation for all learning in my opinion. I also have a background in teaching gymnastics to all ages, which is not tutoring, but requires a lot of communication and understanding when it comes to seeing where students may not feel the most confident. In my experience, this translates well into tutoring and I've learned that communication is key in figuring out gray areas. Thus, I am very communicative when trying to help students identify and fill in those gaps. Since graduating, I have been working as a medical scribe gaining clinical experience, and recently started volunteering at the local food bank packing food boxes for the senior community (which I have a new found love for). In my spare time, I not only love volunteering, but I enjoy walking my dog, yoga, running, and spending quality time with friends and family.
