A short explanation about my background and interest. I completed my Bachelor's degree in Psychology, in 2005 and received my Master's in Psychology, in 2011. Since then, I've performed several years of administrative and case management experience in the behavioral health department. I have been the principal as well as a teacher at a local private school (IASJ). As the principal where I am expected to provide leadership and administration which will motivate instructional and support personnel to strive for superior performance to provide the best possible opportunities for student growth and development, both educationally and personally. I am directly responsible to the Board of School except in the areas of curriculum and instruction where the responsibility is to the Administrator and local school district. Teaching is my passion and finds great joy in helping students learn what was taught to me by great teachers in my life. Guiding and leading the future generation would help me guide students toward the right path. Currently, I am working on my School Counseling degree from New York University. I will be graduating with my NJ School Counseling certificate by the end of July 2022. As a graduate student of NYU, I am also very privileged to intern for String Theory Charter School in Philadelphia, PA. The position is all virtual and allowed me to work closely with a student from high school. My resume has detailed information about my duties and task as an intern in School Counseling.
Before working at IASJ I had many years in behavioral and mental health. During that time, I've gained in-depth knowledge of the various tasks and duties required of office clerks across the spectrum of job roles. I have a wide-ranging familiarity with Microsoft Office and other office management software and have developed a suite of efficiency tools to keep the office organized and on task. I have provided prompt and accurate triage of incoming calls and initiated triage documentation, completed competent risk assessment as appropriate, provided screening for substance use or other behavioral health-related problems, showed competent crisis intervention as appropriate, completed appropriate documentation in a timely and accurate manner according to AtlantiCare Behavioral Health standards, given referrals to appropriate services with appropriately credentialed providers, demonstrated knowledge of ABH and community resources, shown proficient in the knowledge and skills described in the core competency curriculum for each assigned age/disability group. Maintained service orientation to internal and external customers. Attended 80% of all scheduled staff meetings. I have confirmed client appointments for priority and Med Clinic appointments. I have experience in completing NJSAMS DASIE screening for all addiction clients in the state.
Working as a Case Manager at AtlantiCare Behavioral health has prepared me to meet the challenges of a managerial role in a professional office environment. I have shown my competency in clerical duties such as filing, typing, answering phone calls, and dealing with the public. I can contribute effectively to your company and be a valuable employee.
I would be thrilled to have an opportunity to work with students and lead them towards success.
