Learning has always been my favorite thing to do. From receiving my formal education in school to exploring the wider world around us, I have found that keeping an open and adaptable mind keeps life fun and exciting. It is my goal to help as many students as possible find as much enjoyment in school as I have. I have worked as a tutor in science and English throughout college and subsequently taught secondary science for two years post-grad. I have a bachelors in Biology with a minor in English and am a certified literacy tutor. As such, I mainly tutor Biology, Earth Science, and English but have ample experience with Environmental Science, Physics, Chemistry, Space Science, and Writing as well. My teaching style is student-centered and relaxed--I encourage active and interactive learning, so conversation is a big part of what I do. It is important to me to gain a full picture of a student's understandings and misunderstandings of any given topic in order to fill in appropriate blanks or adjust current misconceptions. Outside of academia, I enjoy spending my free time exploring the wilderness around me,
