Hi there! My name is Amanda, and I look forward to meeting you!
I taught third grade for four years in the public school system, and spent a short time teaching ELA to middle and high schoolers in an alternative school. I now spend my time teaching online, and I love being able to provide one-on-one support to students.
My specialty is ELA, including beginning reading and reading comprehension for elementary students, but also have experience in all elementary subjects. I have a graduate degree in English, with a focus in literature, and an undergraduate degree in Communication.
I believe that all students have individualized gifts and strengths, as well as challenges. I strive to help them flourish in their gifted areas and motivate them to strengthen their areas of weakness. I look forward to working with your student!
