Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of the University of the State of New York. I received my Master's Degree in Elementary Education and I have been teaching for 22 years. My teaching experience ranges from Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade. I taught middle school for 5 years, Kindergarten for 8 years, have been teaching Pre-Kindergarten for 9 years. I also teach summer school every year and the grades have ranged from Kindergarten to 8th grade. I believe that teaching and learning should incorporate elements of fun. It is through the fun and engagement that the children learn best. I absolutely love when I can see in a child's face that the knowledge has been gained. I am a firm believer in life-long learning. I never admit to knowing everything and will help a child to find an answer if I am unable to do so. This shows my students that I am also human. Outside of teaching and tutoring, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, kayaking, swimming, cake decorating, and drawing/painting.
