With a degree in Theatre and Playwriting from Reed College, I have a passion for the written word from beginning to endwhether it's writing a script, reading a book, or seeing the final project up on stage. When I was young, I loved reading but hated to write. Eventually I had teachers who showed me the power of what writing can do, and it changed my life. I'd like to be that person for my students.
I tutor in many different disciplines, largely around English, as well as music on guitar and piano. I take a personal, holistic, and Socratic-based approach to learning, encouraging students to ask questions and try multiple solutions.

My hobbies include music, especially record collecting and playing guitar, movies, playing Dungeons and Dragons with my friends, and cooking. In my spare time, I'm learning to speak Yiddish to connect with my cultural roots.
