I am a scientific researcher in a molecular biology lab at a children's hospital with a passion for the field of Microbiology. I got my Bachelor's in Biology and Master's in Microbiology from Ball State University. I taught the lab section for Microbiology for Allied Health Sciences and won the Carl Warnes Award for Outstanding Teaching as a Graduate Student from Ball State University. I absolutely love helping students understand the concepts of Microbiology and why they are important. I like to explain things taught in class in different or unique ways, and often utilize creative analogies that my students enjoy poking fun at. While Microbiology is definitely my favorite subject to teach, I also teach English and Essay Editing. I have written and published manuscripts in peer-reviewed journal articles which has allowed me a lot of writing experience, and I have always enjoyed and excelled in English. The look on a student's face when they "get it" is the best feeling in the world, and I truly love working together to help my students gain more confidence and understanding in these subjects.
