I received my masters of elementary education from the University of Minnesota in May 2021. My bachelor's degree, which I received a year prior, was in elementary education as well. I also have a minor in coaching which I use to coach a high school cheerleading team. Since graduation, I have been working in an elementary school as a premier substitute. I have substitute taught in all grade levels K-5, special education, and specials (gym, art, music). While working towards my master's I worked full time in a 4th grade class. The first half of my year was in an online setting and I feel very comfortable teaching online. I believe strongly in personalized learning and building relationships. Building a mutual respect between teacher and student is one of the first goals I aim to accomplish. Building a relationship is crucial for success because knowing my students means I know what they can do and I am able to use their strengths to help them learn. In my spare time, I enjoy coaching, reading, and crafting. I also love to spend time outside with my friends.
