Certified Tutor

I am an assistant teacher in an elementary school working with students who have special needs. I have been in this position for six years. Before that, I worked at a preschool for six years working with preschool ages as well as, school ages in an afterschool program. I have always enjoyed working with students of all abilities and being another advocate for their learning. This is why I have received my Associate in Early Childhood as well as, my Master in Educational Psychology. I have also obtained my bachelor's in Counseling. Besides my experience of in-person teaching, I was also able to have an opportunity to assist in teaching the class I assist in, online when schools were closed due to covid. Along with teaching students in China the English language on an online platform. Due to my experience, I prefer teaching students of elementary age, especially in areas of reading and writing. I also enjoy teaching students with differing abilities. I believe all children, despite their ability level, should have the opportunity to succeed in their education. Another area I am comfortable tutoring in is Early Childhood Education. Regarding adults, one area that I feel comfortable tutoring in is cooking, especially baking. I view cooking and baking as a great stress reliever as well as, a constructive creative outlet.
