I received my high school diploma from James Madison High School in early 2017, and beginning in 2022, I will begin studying for my Computer Science Associate's Degree from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Throughout my academic career, I've tutored students ranging from third grade to eleventh grade, and assisted countless students with various learning styles in a plethora of different subjects, with remarkable improvements in scores and overall confidence in material. Though I enjoy teaching every subject I am capable of, I take a special pride in Science, History, and English, particularly writing. From my time tutoring across primary and secondary schools, I've found that a focus on core concepts and an emphasis on understanding over memorization leads to vastly improved exam scores and better retention of content. I also firmly believe that encouraging the act of learning is of utmost importance, and I try to make the material as interesting and encapsulating as it can be. Outside of academia, I spend my time reading poetry and literature, learning jazz theory on a guitar and piano, studying French, and of course, taking my sweet dog to the beach.
