I am a visiting professor of chemistry at the University of Quebec in Montreal, Canada. I received my Ph.D in chemistry from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan in 2006, M.Sc in chemistry from Rochester Institute of Technology in New York, and my B.S in chemistry from the American University of Beirut. After graduation with Ph.D, I had a position an assistant professor of chemistry at Taibah University, a visiting research scholar at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, and a full professor position at the Lebanese University. I have been teaching chemistry (general and organic) for the last fifteen years. I taught organic chemistry at the undergraduate as well as graduate levels. So, I have gained extensive experience in chemistry teaching. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, I have been teaching students online through many platforms including google classroom, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams. I have gained good experience, therefore, in dealing with students online. In addition to being a chemistry professor, I am an active researcher in materials chemistry, so I am always confronted with new ideas and insights about the advancement of chemistry, which I deliver to my students in order to keep them updated with new chemistry discoveries. It has always been a pleasure for me to teach chemistry, especially organic, as it is my specialty.
