I have been an educator for 30 years as a tutor, writing teacher, literature teacher, and classroom teacher in high school and college. I have a particular passion for working one-on-one with students helping them take that next step from 'good writing' to remarkable writing. I developed this knack for helping students improve their writing while working in college writing centers at Shoreline Community College and Eastern Washington University as a tutor for six years while I pursued my master's degree. I've had success with all kinds of writers from PhD students to high school freshmen of all levels and diverse native languages. I have an expert understanding of AP literature, IB literature. and IB TOK, having taught for many years in those disciplines. I'm also fluent in the verbal sections of the ACT and SAT college entrance exams having been a proctor, site coordinator, and high school teacher for these exams. I'm knowledgeable, experienced, welcoming, and I look forward to working with you!
