I am an undergraduate student at the University of Virginia. Currently, I am working towards earning a Bachelor's degree in Biology and East Asian Studies. When I attended middle and high school, not only would I tutor my peers through various honor societies, but I would also tutor elementary school students through my local community action center for around four years and have been tutoring overall for about seven years. Working with elementary school students from low-income families helped me broaden my horizons as a tutor and realize the decline in the quality of public education. Since a young age, I felt that having a good education is a strong foundation to having a successful future and I hope to help students be able to take steps towards improving in their academic careers. Also due to previous experiences, I feel that all students should have access to the academic support that they need no matter their background.
