Certified Tutor

I am a Licensed Practical Nurse, with over 30 years of experience in healthcare. Beginning as a Medical transcriber, bookkeeper, allergy technician, to becoming certified as a medical assistant. All of these were building blocks to becoming successful as a nurse. I also have an Associate Degree in Administration and Management from Excelsior College. I previously was an Instructor for Certified Medical Assistant Programs at two different Colleges for 7 years. My passion is teaching adults of all ages in the healthcare profession. My favorite subject is medical terminology, but I also love the "hands on skills " necessary to be successful, such as being a Certified BLS Instructor. Helping students to prepare for their certification exams is also something I enjoy very much by helping them gain the knowledge and confidence to be successful. Watching students grow, learn, and become more confident in their skills and abilities is a great joy for me. It is amazing to teach, but also when some of your students actually become your peers then you know you have been successful.
