Hello!
I am an experienced professional Artist, Designer, and Art Instructor.
My love for teaching art is backed by formal training across various creative mediums along with over 20 years' experience painting and designing fine art and graphics.
My extensive experience managing creative artists and designers prepared me for teaching and tutoring by integrating real-world experience into robust curriculums. My lessons and delivery are upbeat and engaging. I put a tremendous amount of effort into planning; making creative and innovative lessons that my students can vest themselves in. With curriculums that follow the Georgia Performance Standards in Fine Art 6-8 and 9-12, I teach students in a dynamically fresh, stimulating, creative, and safe setting. I also work with college students to prepare their portfolios upon graduation and help position them for a job in Design or Fine Art.
I encourage, inspire, and help my students to find their own understanding, develop their own skills, and to use their strengths to become an individual problem solver. I model respect, fairness, consistency, and concern.
Visual art is my life. I offer the depth of my content knowledge coupled with a contagious enthusiasm for teaching.
