I am passionate about helping students learn. It is my joy to see a new student gain a new skill and make a new accomplishment. I have worked with students for five years tutoring multiple subjects in person and four years tutoring English in an online setting. I graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a focus on early childhood development. I have passed several assessments for teachers in both English and Math. I have focused my professional career on teaching and training of children and young adults. Currently I tutor a broad range of subjects, however, my favorite subjects to tutor are English (ESL) and math. I enjoy watching my students gain in their ability to express themselves in English where they were not able to do so before. I also enjoy tutoring Math with the concrete concepts. I enjoy breaking down complex math concepts in a more understandable way for my students and seeing my students excel in an area where they previously struggled gives me great joy. I believe in meeting students where they are and helping them get to where they need to be. I believe that students should be taught, and learn best, when taught according to their learning style. I will always to my best to meet a student where they are and teach them according to how they learn best. In my spare time I enjoy photography, painting, reading, swimming, and traveling.
