I have been a military medic for 15 years, the last 5 at the paramedic level. I have worked in rural and urban areas and specialize in technical rescue. Over the last 10 years I have been teaching NREMT refresher classes as well as BLS (basic life support), TCCC (tactical combat casualty care), and PHTLS (pre hospital trauma life support) classes. I lean towards a very informal level of discussion as I am most concerned with my students' understanding of the hows and whys of medicine, which in turn leads to passing tests and success in the field.
