Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of the College for Creative Studies and Wayne State University. I hold a BFA, MA, and MFA in Fine Arts. I also hold a teaching endorsement in art and I was a certified K-12 Art Teacher in three states for roughly four years at all levels. For the past 20 years, I have been involved in the teaching field off and on, whether it has been teaching art reading, after-school programs, or ESL to children and adults. I currently teach Adobe Illustrator, Animate, Photoshop, and Premiere to kids. I also teach gesture, figure, and portrait drawing.

The reason I became a teacher and tutor is that I am an advocate for life-long learning and helping people. I believe that education is the key to enhancing the lives of others. I have a very relaxed and fun teaching style. Students respond positively to my kindness and sense of humor. I approach each student with patience and I am very adaptable to diverse learning styles. I focus on core concepts that will make my students succeed in their studies.

Hobbies

When I am not teaching, I am actively pursuing my profession as a professional artist or exploring hobbies, like music, writing, religious study, Twitch streaming, and watching youtube channels about sustainable homesteading. I am a big fan of the tiny house movement.
